Welcome
Section titled “Welcome”Welcome to My Apologetics Journal. This is my accountability journal and here’s a quick overview. I’ll cover my mission, what I’ve done so far, the big problem I’ve run up against - and what I’m doing to solve it, which could be the thing that interest you the most, so lets get started.
Mission
Section titled “Mission”My mission is to learn the Word, help others, and make disciples for Christ by engaging in evidence based conversations that defend the Christian faith. Also to create My Apologetics Journal to document my progress.
Motivation
Section titled “Motivation”Next, to share my motivation, I was lost in the world of sin for decades, but by grace I’ve been saved through faith, not of my own doing, but by the gift of God, and now I am blessed beyond measure through Jesus Christ, and this is my motivation.
My Journey
Section titled “My Journey”I started my journey in 2024 by completing the “Read the Bible in a Year” program, memorizing some Bible scriptures, attending bible study and a discipleship program with my Church, and starting my own daily prayer time.
Apologetics
Section titled “Apologetics”But, I knew I needed more training in order to accomplish my mission to help others, and that’s when God lead me to the study of apologetics, which is giving a reason or defense of our Christian faith, which sounded exactly like what I needed. So I jumped in and started my study of apologetics books and courses. And the more a studied the more excited I got because I believed this was the information I needed for my Mission.
Problem
Section titled “Problem”But, here is the big problem. The same problem that you may have faced in the past. How much of the information from these books and courses do you think I’ve internalized to share with others? Almost zero! Maybe you have a photographic memory and can share in depth information like this with others on the fly without any study; but that’s not me. The only way I’ve been able to do this in the past, is by memorization through repetition.
Videos
Section titled “Videos”So, that is what I’ll be doing on this channel; creating short videos, both live and AI that I can share with others. The live videos will be raw without auto prompting after my internalization of each piece of the material. Also, because the live videos are for my accountability, don’t expect anything too hi-tech or flashy. In fact, it is my hope that you will say to yourself, “If he can do it, so can I” and you’ll be motivated to create your own process to help others know Christ.
Commitment
Section titled “Commitment”My commitment is to be able to respond to questions and comments with evidence that builds a positive case for Objective Truth, that there is one personal God, that Miracles are possible, that the New Testament is historically reliable, that Jesus is God, and that the Bible is the true word of God.
So, I’ve got my work cut out for me and it’s a blessing. My hope is that God will bless me with enough time in life to do this and to share with others as soon as I’ve internalized each piece. I look forward to how the Holy Spirit will guide me to help others.
My hope for you is that you will be inspired to help others and make Disciples in your own way, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps, create your own accountability journal.
